Lewis Hamilton is now a Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 driver and this means he will have exclusive access to Ferrari’s road cars and we are confident Lewis Hamilton’s cars will include more Ferraris going forward (he already has a few). He has spoken about his favourite supercar being the F40 which he also used in the photography when joining the team. There have been reports of him working on a manual successor for the car, it will be interesting to see how his input will affect the development of the car. Previously he has been seen enjoying LaFerraris in beverly Hills but what is his full collection like?

Lewis Hamilton is now a teammate of Charles Leclerc whose car collection we have covered previously.

The spec reflects Lewis’s flashy style. It comes in a combo of black and purple colors and features many carbon fiber details making the car lighter. Everything in the Zonda is made out of luxorious and performance oriented materials which makes it an exrtra special car.

After Lewis sold the car it was crashed by one of the next owners and had to be restored. The crash happened at relatively low speeds while driving through the Penmaenbach Tunnel and no one got seriously injured. By now it is back on the road and got minor modifications liek the removal of LED daytime running lights.

Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari Collection

The jewel of Hamilton’s Ferrari collection are two LaFerraris, one coupe and one aperta. Both cars are in his Los Angeles garage as reported by Seb Delanney. The coupe has a special color which costs around 50k$. It is called Rosso Fuoco which is a deep red triple layer paint. Lewis has been seen cruising around in this car with a fellow celebrity, Justin Bieber.

The white LaFerrari is the Aperta version which means the roof can be taken off. One time he was seen driving around Beverly Hills to the Nobu restaurant and instead of driving the car back home Lewis had the car towed back to the garage. it is not known if something happened with the car or he did it for the convenience.

  • 950 horsepower and 780Nn of torque

Ferrari 599 cars of Lewis Hamilton

His first 599 was a black GTO. A front-engine V12 engine Ferrari produced in extremely limited numbers. He was frequently driving it around in Monaco when he purchased the car in 2010 and later sold it in 2017. Then he picked up SA Aperta which is an even more rare version as it features a detachable roof.

GTO and SA Aperta variants are track focused versions of the regular 599GTB which in itself was a fast car already. The track focused cars accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds and are lighter. The engine sound is also greatly enhanced and they are much louder. Below is a picture of the GTO in his Monaco garage. He is known to love motorcycles as well. Having multiple bikes in his European as well as American garages. The bikes are custom made and feature sports brands such as Ducati.

The car makes 1063 horsepower and accelerates from 0 too 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0 to 200km/h in an impressive 7 seconds.

The G63 6×6 is one of the biggest cars one can buy to drive on the roads. It has crazy features such as 2 fuel tanks, 6-wheel drive. 5.5 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 536 horsepower. But he rarely has been seen driving it. It is not the most comfortable car to drive around in because of its sheer size.

Lewis Hamilton’s Cars: McLaren F1 chassis 44

Lewis drove for McLaren from 2007 to 2012 and had a deal with the team principal Ron Dennis that if he manages 3 driver’s championships he would get a McLaren F1 LM Prototype (chassis XP LM). Since he only got one he had to buy the car himself. he ended up buying Herb Chambers McLaren F1 which he auctioned off, Hamilton got it for the price of 15.6 million dollars. It features chassis number 44 and it was the 37th car built by the factory. His racing number in karting days was 44 which is why he really wanted that particular car and this is also what he races with nowadays from the 2014 season.

I love the historic, funny and otherwise funky stories of motorsports. In my free time I turn on the TV to watch F1 and occasionally WRC. My favourite cars are old, red and Italian.
